Greenbiar County – Lost Horses from storm June 21, 2011

URGENT! LOST HORSES! Please cross-post! Very good friends of mine have lost their horses in the Greenbriar County Area near the New River. They broke out of the barn during a storm last night. Still getting info on the 3rd horse but the two confirmed are as follows:

  • Peaches – Palamino Mare – Approx 15 Hands
  • Candy – Palmino Mare – Yearling\Approx 12-13 hands

Contact the Greenbriar DNR or 911 Services if located.

    All horses have been found safe and sound. Thank you

    We should clarify, the horses were Lost in Greenbriar County WV for anyone viewing this out of state. They were able to track the horses for approx 4 miles before they lost the trail in steep terrain. They are headed for thousands of acres of open wildnerness possibly towards Virginia. Any help is appreciated, this family is desperately missing their horses.
